“I want to do what I can to help others. It’s as simple as that.”
Ted Ykimoff is a longtime volunteer with United Way of Jackson County. For 22 years he has helped as a solicitor, chaired our General Business Campaign, volunteered at local events and engaged in countless other ways. This year Ted is running United Way’s community fundraising efforts. Ted calls Jackson County home and he wants only the best for our community.
“I count it a blessing to be part of the United Way team that has a ‘Go All In’ commitment to Jackson County. Having lived here most of my life, I want to do what I can to help others. It’s as simple as that.”
Ted is the Director of Residential Energy Efficient Solutions for Consumers Energy. When he isn’t working or pulling cardboard boats out of murky waters, he enjoys golfing and letting his four dogs take him for a walk.
“For me, to LIVE UNITED means working together to make Jackson County a better place for everyone.”
Ted is excited about United Way of Jackson County’s new vision and goal of impacting poverty and helping families become financially stable.
“The increased focus on financial stability is an important one. It represents the root cause of many systemic issues that affect individuals and families.. The work we do in this area truly gets to the heart of the matter.”
Ted, thank you for your talents, leadership and years of service to our community!
