We need to be ready
In recent years, we’ve seen how quickly crisis can strike—flooding, tornados, fires, the COVID-19 pandemic, even large-scale housing emergencies. These events don’t give us time to react—they demand that we’re ready.
That’s why United Way of South Central Michigan strives to build community resilience and preparedness through the Disaster Relief Fund.
You can help
When a disaster or a community crisis strikes ANYWHERE in our region, UWSCMI works quickly to coordinate with local government, response teams, volunteers and other nonprofits to identify gaps and deploy resources to affected individuals, families, and nonprofit partners. We do that by building relationships, partnerships and plans throughout the year so that we’re ready to respond at a moment’s notice.
But we need your help to ensure these funds
are strong before the next crisis hits.
Your support can help ensure that our response to the
next disaster—not if, but when—is swift, compassionate, and effective.
