Join us in our new online community to learn more about United Way’s work, build relationships, and help strengthen our region

United Way of South Central Michigan is excited to introduce Community Connect, a new online space where people across our region can come together to learn, build relationships, share ideas, and take action for lasting change.

“At United Way of South Central Michigan, we know that building stronger communities takes all of us — donors, volunteers, partners, and neighbors who care deeply about the places in our region we call home. Community Connect is designed to bring that spirit of collaboration to life,” said Tammy Mills, Director of Marketing & Communication for UWSCMI. “Here, you can connect with others who share your passion for community while discovering stories, ideas and ways to make a difference together.”

Inside Community Connect, you’ll find conversations and resources about the issues shaping our region — from housing and education to childcare and financial security. You’ll hear from United Way staff and community partners, discover ways to get involved, and join discussions and groups that move our collective work forward.

Bringing Community Connect to life has been a true community effort, Mills said.

“Our team spent months researching, designing and refining this platform with the goal in mind to create a space that feels meaningful, useful, and welcoming for everyone,” she said. “We gathered input from hundreds of people across our region to understand what would make this community valuable. In addition, our incredible group of Founding Members spent weeks testing and shaping the experience before launch. Their insights and enthusiasm helped make Community Connect a place built by and for our community. We can’t wait to see how our members continue to shape it.”

Whether you’ve been a partner with United Way for years or are just getting started, you belong here. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community — one conversation, one idea, and one action at a time.
