Two Days Left to Give Books!

Books have been piling up in our United Way offices and at partner locations across the region, but the United Way Book Drive is not over yet! There’s plenty of time to contribute.

Until August 15, we are collecting new and gently used children’s books for students ages K-3rd grade, with a goal of getting 10,000 books into the hands of young readers.

There are still two days remaining to get your book donations in, whether you’re cleaning our your own children’s collection, picking up brand new copies, or pitching in dollars so we can buy them for you.

Here’s where you can drop books off:

If you’re running short on time, we’ve got options for you.

Our Amazon Wish List is full of diverse titles and authors and includes modern chapter books, timeless classics, and familiar favorites. When you order off the list, you can choose to have the book sent directly to our United Way office.

You can also simply donate money. One hundred percent of your donation will be used to purchase books.

Once our volunteers have counted, sorted, stickered and packaged the donated books, distribution through our partner agencies, out-of-school programs and childcare centers will begin.

It’s never too late to spark a child’s love of reading. Please donate.
