IMPACT! Ensuring the Right Resources

AWARE-Residential-768x787

When a victim of domestic violence realizes the danger and seeks help, it’s vital to have the resources to assist quickly. We invest in the residential services of AWARE Inc. to make sure those helps are available:

AWARE, Inc. worked with a survivor of domestic violence through its residential services program. She came to the shelter with substance use issues and asked for our help in seeking a residential rehabilitation center. She recognized that she needed assistance with her substance use disorder so that she could regain custody of her children. The advocate she was working with was able to locate a program outside of the Jackson area and advocate for her to be admitted into a six-month rehabilitation program.

Partnership, compassion and your generosity are the secret sauce for impact in Jackson County. Thank you for donating to United Way’s work!
