Financial Management classes, just one aspect of Community Action Agency’s Financial Stability Program, take place on Tuesday’s starting January 27th.  Registration is required as seating is limited.  Click through for more information.

The Community Action Agency also has an Individual Development Account program for those who qualify.  This is a matched savings account for those who want to go back to school or get additional training, purchase a home or to start / expand a business.   Studies show that families who save in an IDA program continue saving practices once they have completed the program.

The Homebuyer Education courses offered through CAA’s Financial Stability Program increases homeownership opportunities for Jackson residents, equipping with the necessary knowledge to determine if they are ready for the fiscal and physical responsibilities of owning their own home.  A detailed look at mortgages, loan options, and the inspection and closing processes are included in the courses.  Those who attend a Homebuyer Education course are also given the opportunity to meet individually with one of CAA’s Housing Advocates who can work with the family to develop a specific plan that fits their unique interest and financial situation.
