COVID-19 Update: Status on Offices, Events & Community Actions

UPDATE: Our office closure has been extended through April 13.

United Way is taking steps to reduce the risk of infection among staff and the public as we continue to partner with local agencies on the community’s response to COVID-19.

Following the State of Michigan’s guidance, we will close our offices to the public starting Monday, March 16, reopening on April 6. We will remain operational throughout that period.

UWBCKR continues to work with nonprofit partners, municipalities and emergency response consortiums in both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo to identify and address needs related to the coronavirus outbreak as they arise.

Staff members will work from home as much as possible. In addition, all public meetings and events planned by United Way during that time period, including Pop Up Giving, will be postponed.

To reach someone on our staff, please call or email them directly, or message us through our contact page.

If you’d like to help support the work of United Way and our partners as we work to respond to the impact of the virus, United Way BCKR has established a Disaster Relief Fund. Our partners at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation have established a relief fund as well.

If you need help, please dial 2-1-1 to get connected with community resources.
