IMPACT! Making the Next Steps Possible

Sometimes a seemingly small barrier can be insurmountable for people who are struggling to succeed. It’s evidence of how complex the issues can be. Our partnership with AWARE Inc. helps victims of domestic violence get beyond barriers large and small. Here’s a great example:

AWARE Residential Services worked with a survivor of domestic violence who had a past-due rental bill that was impeding access to a Housing Choice Voucher. Through the agency flexible funding program, AWARE paid her delinquent bill. She was approved for a housing voucher and was able to secure housing in January 2022. After her move, AWARE was also able to provide her with household items, groceries, bus tickets, and located an individual who donated a bed and additional furniture for her new home.

Thanks to partnership and community support, another woman is moving from a life of terror to one of hope. We appreciate your financial support for our local work. Remember, your gift is invested right here in our community!
