Nominations open for Capital Area Volunteer of the Year

Annually, the United Way of South Central Michigan-Capital Area Volunteer Center recognizes community volunteers for their significant impact on nonprofits in the Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties through their gifts of time and talent.

These awards recognize individuals who provide valuable volunteerism to our community through their dedication and hard work, making a difference in the lives of those who benefit from their service.  

The Volunteer of the Year Categories are:

  • Adult – An individual 27 years or older at the time of service.
  • Young Adult – An individual 18-26 years of age at the time of service.
  • Youth – An individual under the age of 18 years at the time of service.
  • Lifetime – An individual who has more than 25 years of volunteer service to one or more organizations.
