Inequities based on race, disability, gender and sexual orientation are deeply rooted in our national, state and local systems and institutions. United Way invites you to learn more about these inequities and how YOU can help us change them!
Several times each year we offer a community wide 21-Day Equity Challenge. Participants sign up to receive a short email for 21 weekdays, each with topics and links to explore the history and effects of discrimination and how it impacts people's lives so you can deepen your understanding and willingness to confront inequities.
At United Way of South Central Michigan, we know addressing inequity is critical to accomplishing our mission of creating a flourishing, equitable life for everyone. To do so, we must keep learning and taking actions to build strong, caring communities where every person is valued, thriving and connected for the common good.
